Sunday night, as we rode home from our night of friends, beer and thin-crust pizza it began to rain and I figured the coming week would suffer from rain and grey. Not so! It's been mercifully dry and sunny and nary a cloud in sight. Last weeks benevolent skies have held onwards and I don't want it to end. I don't want to sound like one of those chit-chatters who only seem to talk about the weather, because I'm really not like that. It's just that after what seems like an eternity of gloom and doom held under grey clouds and rain, I'm really clinging to the idea of spring. It's all about sunshine and lollipops, really.

Yesterday, C and I celebrated Valentine's day with sleeping in, no work, dark chocolate and a whole lotta walking around town. We took full advantage of the sunshine and explored side streets and parks and stopped every now and again for icy beverages and card-playing. When we felt our legs had enough, we bussed it over to Commercial Drive where we rented 2 dvds (Broken Flowers, oh yes! and Style Wars, oh yeah!) and took some carry out Vietnamese food home. It was the perfect day!
