i've got some vegan chocolate cake in the oven which i will top with some green tinted buttercream with crushed candycanes -- my contribution to tommorrow's christmas dinner at c's parents house. i've made a double-batch of cranberry-apple chutney that is now cooling in various old bonne maman jam jars. presents are all wrapped and under the tree and the tree is shining and pink and smells like heaven. tonight, c and i will drink mulled wine and relax with a definite viewing of how the grinch stole christmas. i can't wait to open presents tommorrow! i love christmas and wished that i could better enjoy all the goodness without so much of the stress.
