we just got back an hour or so ago. our apartment seems so different and clean...i like how it feels: colourful and hip and full of curious nooks and details. everything seems interesting, like the apartment of a good friend, familiar yet different. it's so funny to realize that it's our same old apartment that we've lived in for over 2 years. letters and packages are piled up on our hallway table, along with notes and drawings from my brother and meesoo.
when we crossed the border into canada, i put in a veda hille cd into the car stereo just to make it feel like home. i told cornelius that i was scared to go home and he told me he felt the same way. responsibility, jobs, and all the insecurities and thoughts that go with the territory were things we wanted to keep pushing away. it's sad to report the honeymoon is over (har har), but i think i'm ready to face life again.
i'm home and i have lots of stories to share.
