Yesterday I really learned a new word: ambitious.
Cornelius and I woke up early, drank some delicious pineapple-strawberry-vanilla yogurt smoothies and then rode our bikes to pitt meadows...a 40k ride. We then rode around the dikes for about 2 hours where we spotted 2 donkeys, 2 bald eagles and 6 cows. We then rode the 40k back home. The ride back was hot and sunny and the traffic was hellish, but other than a bit of a sunburn, we did okay.
But the day wasn't over yet! We took a short hour-long nap and then bathed, drank another smoothie and headed out to the opening night of the Strathcona Leisure Club's Monday night tennis. It was so much fun and we played for 2 and a half hours!! Only 5 people in all showed up but it was so much fun and everyone had a great time. The summer-long Monday night tennis will be a summer mainstay, for sure! When we got home, Cornelius and I collapsed on the couch and watched "Undeclared" on dvd (a funny little show by the creators & some of the same cast as Freaks n' Geeks).
How fucking ambitious was I? Damn straight.
