Dear Hapless Contestant (ie. Sucker),
Well it was a really tough decision, we had it down to you and one other candidate. I really love your work but unfortunately we've decided to go with the other candidate. However, I'd love to keep you on backup for any other contract work that might arise in the future. Thanks again for taking the time to do the mockup we all appreciate it. And I am serious that I will keep you in mind for sure for any jobs down the line that might come up. Wish you all best in your job hunt.

Needless to say, i didn't get the job. sigh. i know i said that i didn't really want it and everything, but this morning as i awaited her email, i kept thinking about all the good things a new job brings, and dammit i really did want it!! oh well, i guess i'm just outta luck.
and now for the good things about this weekend:
1. going to the blinding light tonight to see a documentary that looks damn right fantastic.
2. beer. nuff said.
3. shopping for new glasses (yay!!), a new queen size bed and curtain fabric. and best of all, a dance party on saturday night!!
4. sunday -- i'm hoping -- will be all about relaxation. hell, i might even get my haircut cuz i'm certainly overdue in the physical appearance/girl maintenance department.
